Molybdenum - A Transitional Metal

Molybdenum (Mo) is is known as a transition metal. It is truly an important substance due to its desired physical characteristics. It has a high melting temperature and is very resistant to corrosion. It is highly used in the making of steel, the creation of nickel alloys, and the processing of uranium. It used as a catalyst for petroleum refining and agriculture. It is an essential trace element in plant growth. Molybdenum is commonly obtained as a result of the extraction of copper but can also be mined as an ore, the Endako Mine in British Columbia is an example.
