Base Metals

The base metal deposits are usually found in good quantities and they are the most commonly used metals in the world.

The base metals that are mined such as iron (Fe) which is used in making steel and cast iron products, aluminum (Al) for tin cans, zinc (Zn) for ship parts, copper (Cu) for piping and tubing, and lead (Pb) for batteries. These metals are used in many different industries, from industrial manufacturing, building construction, to the electronics and electrical sectors.

The price for these metals is usually determined by supply and demand. The demand in some cases may be high at times due to those countries in the process of evolving industrialization or in countries where the economic growth is quick and expanding similar to India and China.
