The Book Shelf

It is always nice to have some reference material on hand, especially for rock identification. Books are also great resource for information and learning. For young and for old. One should never stop learning, at least if you enjoy what you are doing. The reference pocket manuals are a great resource out in the field as well as at home. Kids love collecting rocks, so why not get them something to start with. Who knows, they may be our next generation of geologists. My supplier has a good selection of books, a few of which I have myself. I have enjoyed reading and have kept them for reference. I also carry in my pack when out in the field a pocket guide to rocks and minerals. I refer to it when I find something that I do not recognize. Just click on the links in the drop downs in the menu and explore. You just might find something of interest.
